Most resume fail and their owners never know why!

It’s also true that most job seekers don’t understand just how important their resume is to the success of their job search.  Job seekers have generally have proved to be stubborn lot for sure.

I’ll warn you now, this page will likely prove to be controversial to many of my readers.  But I’ll stack my 40+ years of experience on the subject of resumes with anyone.  After all this time, I know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to whether a resume is likely to be effective.

Most job seekers aren’t marketers, yet their resume is primarily a marketing document, so its understandable they usually don’t get it right.  Its also true that a majority of resume writers tout their writing skills and in fact few of them have actually had to earn a living where their next paycheck depended on an employer hiring the person for whom they wrote the resume.

Only recruiters know and experience that feeling!
